Deep Thoughts

A lady sucking on a lollipop may seem sexy at first, but when I realize just how sticky lollipops get, it quickly loses its charm.

It's probably more psychological than anything, but I think the fact that at room temperature a lollipop is a solid and a Popsicle is a liquid makes all the difference. On those rare occasions that I actually consume a lollipop - or other hard candy - the sensation of the thick, sticky substance remaining on my tongue afterward is not something I look forward to. I do not find it pleasant. Popsicles have no such stigmata to me. - ZM

...I apologize if anyone is offended by the nature of this entry. However, I don't regret it, and there may well be more like it (hence the tag). I'm trying to develop a "blogging instinct", actually recording the funny things I think of as they come along. A book cover as depicted in an email I received from QPB showed a U.S.-flag-colored lollipop in a woman's mouth, and the result was this journal entry. I thought it was funny in a strange-but-true sort of way, and I went with it. I can make no guarantees as regards the subject matter of future "Deep Thoughts", and I will not censor myself, so consider yourself warned. I do, however, sincerely apologize to any that feel this warning is one entry too late.

Also for the record, when I said my update rate was going to be increased, I didn't mean to imply that I'd start posting lots of useless entries. I still intend to keep to my word on only posting that which I feel has a worthy depth. I would actually disagree with those that think this offering and the one before are lacking in that regard, but today's entry will hopefully dispel any such concerns regardless. - ZM
